Half Modeling

Mirroring and connecting model halves.

Delete all the faces on one half of the model (the faces that have been moved to zero. It is very important that the entire vertex selections are flush and are sitting at zero. If just one vertex is not on zero, you’ll have to merge every vertex that is suppose to be at zero after you mirror the geometry.

Use the Proxy modeling technique to view the other half (smoothed or unsmoothed) to see how your model holds up in a mirrored state.
